Oh cool, I'll be off posting it promptly!

YAY! I've been hoping very much to get input from you on this - so when you mentioned the other day that you hadn't read Thriller Bark yet I was a bit disconcerted. ;) But I understood you'd been spoiled before this, and I'm very glad you took a look at it. Not the least because I think at least half of it comes from me going through your fic archive recently - and I'm not just talking about the pairing but also your flair at descriptive writing and atmosphere...oh well, enough admitting/gushing! ;) Hearing you like this makes me very happy - and relieved, actually, as this feels kinda different from my other fics so far and therefore more uncertain (but also more exciting).

He's better in many ways than Zoro at precisely what happens here and him taking the initiative makes perfect sense.

I'm very glad thsi comes across. In a way I think I wanted first just to shake Zoro up more than anything, but if I hadn't felt like this was a possible way for Usopp to act it would all have come to a grinding halt. ;)

was amazing and my favorite part of the fic. It captures Zoro very very well.

Thank you very much! When it comes to Zoro's thoughts there, I have to share credit with [livejournal.com profile] tonko_ni, who prodded me to add more of them. I had him being more reticent in the first draft.

Glad to see that I'm not the only one intrigued by the idea of the three of them.

I find it very interesting to speculate about. While I do have this mental barrier against Luffy and Zoro in a physical relationship (although some of your Luffy/Zoro fics almost make me waver on this;)), that in NO WAY means I think they need each other any less or are less close than if they were lovers. "Just friends" simply doesn't come close. And of course I'm always Usopp-obsessed. ^_^

Though not quite my favourite pairing, I really do like seeing Zoro and Usopp together a lot, but sometimes - only sometimes - in the back of my head I'll go "might not their respective feelings for Luffy stand in the way of this?". So I guess part of this fic was me trying to imagine those feelings being what's bringing them together instead.
