I'm also curious as to how the different retellings played out for real. And maybe some of the things we saw happening on-panel where the narrators weren't present were things they heard about from others and so added to the narrative. (But probably just a small part of those.)
Regaining individual agency is such a huge part of both Scar and Marcoh's character arcs, though that manifests itself in slightly different ways, and their relationship with each other (and how it changes over time) is absolutely crucial to many of the changes they go through as individuals.
I could only agree more! And the way Winry's character arc intersects and comments on Scar's is very interesting too. And then... augh, all these characters are so interesting!
