From the Vengeful Doll story, in which a careless Ranma angers the spirit of an old doll at the hotel they visit, and the doll's spirit possesses Akane's body in order to carry out its vengeance on Ranma, putting Akane's soul in the doll instead.

I still think half of Rumiko's motivation for this story was simply wanting to draw Akane looking darkly seductive in an evil way. It's a good look for her. I don't think this page has the absolute best example of that, though -- I picked it for the large, atmospheric top panel, instead. I find it easy to picture a soundtrack melody here, half romantic and half creepy...
