The flavour I'm going for is cosy with thoughtful bits and silly bits and eventually somewhat sexy bits. In a way it might be seen as a relatively fluffy companion piece to my much angstier fic "Bathing In A Time Of Peace".

( Hot Baths Are Supposedly Good For Your Health, Just Don't Overdo It )

This fic was supposed to be done in time for Gintoki's birthday last October or at least just a little later. Well, things happened, I was tired, things kept happening, I found it hard to get into my writing groove again, and then it also took me time to figure out where to end the story and (among other things) figure out what on Earth Katsura was going to give Gintoki. It was supposed to just be this simple, silly story, and it remained quite simple and silly and didn't even turn out very long. But it still took its time all the same - sometimes stories are just like that. Or writers are just like that.

I finally finished it in time for Katsura's birthday instead! Comments are very welcome, including constructive criticism!

The Ginzura Fest 2021 will officially end on Saturday, at least as far as new prompts go. Late contributions are very welcome! I myself am still working on two shortfics for earlier prompts ("hot bath" and "misunderstanding" + "gift").
