I wrote two fics for the Chocolate Box Exchange, one assignment and one treat! Both featured ships I'd never written for previously, and I had great fun writing them. (Both are also fade-to-black fics, rated "Teen and Up Audiences" on AO3.)

Without A Can Of Worms, You Can't Expect The Fish To Bite (Unless You Have A Very Shiny Lure): a Gintama fic for PluralForce (who writes awesome exchange letters!). Pairing: Kondo/Katsura.
From the summary: Two enemy generals go fishing and fool around on their day off. set before the Shogun Assassination arc (and also before the Afro arc).
Note: The idea here is that while they're still enemies, they've also grown closer and have begun something of a secret relationship of sorts.

The Desert Blooms Flowers After The Rain: a One Piecefic for prpl_pen, who is - full disclosure! - a dear friend, with an excellent taste in ships. Pairing: Robin/Vivi.
From the summary: The reunion between Vivi and the Strawhats also brings two former enemies face to face again, and Robin gets more than she bargained for. Post-timeskip. Spoilers up to and including the Dressrosa arc.
Note: I based this partially on the various short glimpses we've seen of Vivi after the Alabasta arc, partially on speculating on what she might have thought and wondered about "Miss Allsunday" back in the day. Plus of course speculation on what Robin might think in return!

Writing for this exchange was greatly enjoyable. I consider myself very fortunate in my assignment, and I found the treat very rewarding to write! ♥♥♥

Sansen Sekai by lily22 is a thrilling adventure story with a special focus on Zoro and Robin. After a double act of sacrifice, Zoro and Robin are cast into a number of dizzying alternative realities, trying to stay true to their real selves and make their way back to the crew even as their memories may betray them. Meanwhile, the remaining crewmates are affected by their absence. Some of the AUs are shippy, but mainly this is gen - though I do think Zoro/Robin fans will still like it. The canon world, non-AU part of the story is set before Water 7 but contains spoilers for Robin's backstory.

I just posted a two-part fic to Archive of Our Own that was originally done for one of naye's glorious chaos threads. Its new name is A Solid Place To Stand: it's about trusting and being trusted, from Usopp's and Robin's POV (pre-Alabasta and end of Skypiea, respectively). I've polished it up a bit. Concrit very welcome.

I hurt my left foot from sheer dumb clumsiness (seriously: I forgot the vacuumer was underfoot in the kitchen; then twisted the foot the wrong way in panic), had to leave work early and will go get an X-ray tomorrow. I was going to do organic gardening work this weekend (including a big guerrilla gardening action), but that seems a lot more doubtful now.

Anyway, enough whining. But I feel like being self-indulgent today, so here's a repost of a fic I did to the prompt "To (Two) Arms" for lady_karasu's on-going One Piece chaos thread (which everyone is welcome to join!). As always, comments and criticism are very welcome.

Well, it's been a while since I've posted. Lately I've been angsting myself out with a very angsty deathfic I've tricked myself into doing, without even knowing how it ends. As a result I have a huge craving for Strawhat fluff, especially with Usopp involved some way. (Anime ep 384 was a bit helpful wrt this.) Would be happy for recommendations!
