Gintama wishing - with a question

Question to other Gintama fans reading this: if you could get one more animated Gintama-movie with an original, Sorachi-penned story, what would you want it to be about?

This came up on Tumblr and Twitter for me just now and I'm curious to hear about people's thoughts!

I don't even know - I could never have imagined the Yorozuya Forever movie and yet it was EXACTLY what I wanted?? So for me:

- dorkiness
- self-sacrifice
- featuring Kyuubei, Otae, Tsukuyo and Nobume
- A HUG (at least one preferably more - if there's only one it has to be Gintoki and his kids)

Mmm. Sorachi has done so, so many tropes I'm kind of tempted to wish for an AU of some sort? Either full AU or something like the characters getting transported to our own timeline or something?

I also bet he could make everyone cry with a Groundhog Day setup.

Oh, that's true! Just let Sorachi do what he wants, it should be great.

You saw my Tumblr post where I was wishing for a movie about nothing but li'l Gintoki, Zura, and Takasugi hanging out being kids! (possibly interwoven with scenes from Sakamoto's unknown childhood.) But we DO see plenty of them in canon already, compared to the Kyubei, Otae, Tsukuyo and especially Nobume. (Honestly, part of my wish was motivated just to see scenes of Shoyo and Zura together... and I would also like to see more flashbacks of Shoyo, a teacher even in prison, and tiny not-yet-named-Nobume.)

He would totally make everyone cry with a Groundhog Day theme. But then I think Gintoki would be guaranteed to be the main character... I mean, okay, realistically he would be in any case, but in a Groundhog Day scenario he gets so isolated from the rest, and there's no way Sorachi would let a part like that go to anyone but Gintoki.

I like the idea of AUs and AU-hopping... I'm also thinking of a movie set in the past right when the Amanto invasion first happened, to see the events that have just been summarized firsthand. Ah, but then we wouldn't get to see many of the characters we love, including those four... (But we could see Tatsugoro! And younger Otose and Jirocho, and Saigo!) Maybe there could be a relatively long section set in the past to start with, then flash forward to the present... oh, wait, maybe a treasure hunt! Searching for the long-lost legacy of something or other that was hidden away in the chaos of the invasion and subsequent outbreak of civil war.
