Gintama Characters As Flowers, part 8
Jun. 11th, 2024 07:38 pmCarnations for Sachan! In Japanese symbolism they can stand for "love, fascination and distinction". Sachan is certainly a ninja of distinction, and her obsessive love for Gintoki covers the rest - but more than this, I've long associated the carnation with passionate love, even more than the red rose. Not sure where I've picked that up, but it's stayed with me. Carnations also seem a bit quirkier than roses, somehow... so it just seems right for her!
