Chocolate Box - Gifts!

rainsometimesI got two gifts for Chocolate Box, and now that the anon period is over, I know who to credit for it! Both gifts were absolutely delightful.
1. bandages by jessenigma, Witch Hat Atelier, fic, 1297 words. Spoilers up to volume 6. Olruggio/Qifrey; Olruggio & Qifrey. I think this one was my main gift.
This very lovely shortfic is from Olruggio's POV and captures meaningful snapshots of his and Qifrey's relationship over the years. Strong in hurt/comfort, understated attraction, a deep sense of connection, and a fine, evocative feeling of tangible weight and, perhaps, a relief to their bond. The short story makes each word count while never feeling dense or hard to get through. Excellent.
2.Chocolates and Mousse Cake by C-chan, What Did You Eat Yesterday?, fic, 599 words, Kenji/Shiro, no spoilers.
A Valentine's Day-themed ficlet with Shiro contemplating the troubles of the day and how best to approach them thriftily, while Kenji has his own outlook. Fluffy but never straying the least bit OOC, this kind treat just made me squee as I read it - very appropriate for the canon, for the characters, and for the Chocolate Box!
I will post about my own contributions later, but for now, I just want to express my appreciation for both my gifts! ♥♥♥
