So I haven't really drawn Ace before and he came out a bit girly-looking. Clearly I need to practice more on drawing beefcake. ;D

Slightly-girly Ace is awesome, and in colour, I scrolled down enough to see the hat and was all like "eeeeee!!!" and oddly I'm quite enamoured of his bag there by his feet.

Second-try Ace has a perfectly good mouth (Insert joke about Smoker, or hell, just insert Smoker--oh yes, I are hilarious today!), and the freckles, mmm. Damn, see, the reason you think you had trouble with girliness is that the man is damned pretty at cetain angles...

(Um, however, I would never ever discourage you from drawing more beefcake. For all that practice, you know. >.> Yeah, that's it.)

AND OMG USOPP HAS A PLAID SHIRT ON EEEEEEE!!! ::tackles him:: That's like insanely adorable on him, and the rest of him is totally edible too, his big grin made me do this: XD. Man I love him. And because it's my birthday, in my head, when Luffy puts his arm down, he's gonna put it over Usopp's shoulders and yank him close <333333 Ah, that Luffy-smile, all's right with the world.

(It took ridiculously long to write this because I kept scrolling up again XD)

ETA: I read those really lovely lyrics, then started the comment about fanart and forgot to say that that really is one of the nicest well-wishes I've ever read. Pardon me if I might steal it for future use myself!

Heh, I had early plans of drawing Smoker as well, but had to abandon due to lack of time (I've never drawn him before either, so would have to practice first). And then I really wanted to draw Usopp and Sanji in "Small Common Ground" - they're so cute. <333 ...But I wound up not having time to do that justice either. :( So I had to concentrate on just Ace. And Usopp and Luffy are the only Strawhats I can manage drawing reasonably quickly (sometimes).

(Um, however, I would never ever discourage you from drawing more beefcake. For all that practice, you know. >.> Yeah, that's it.)

He does look pretty good in those, doesn't he? Like on the colour spread of chapter 439. I'm also rather fond of when he wears a baseball cap back-to-front, like in chapter 490 (I think?) and the colour spread to chapter 489. All dude-like. ^_^

Oh, so glad you liked those as well!! I've heard the song a lot, especially as played and sung by my dad (big Dylan fan). But I think the lyrics are good enough that I hoped they'd work even if you haven't heard the tune.
