More Ranma & Ryoga goodness behind the cut, now from Volume 13 and the Hiryu Shoten Ha arc!
The art reads left to right as it's been flipped, as was standard in the 1990s translations.

Volume 13 has the Jusenkyo Water-Proof Story which is a blast, but it also has most of the great Hiryu Shoten Ha arc a.k.a the Moxibustion of Weakness. (Briefly: out of petty revenge, Happosai pulls off a move that robs Ranma of all his physical strength and Ranma has to go through tough training by Cologne to learn the one move you can do even with no strength, the Hiryu Shoten Ha which is very powerful if you can master it right. Everyone in the regular cast except Shampoo plays a part, whether as an opponent or a helper. Some major moments of vulnerability and badassness occur as well as much humour.)
This arc is the first of the Big Epic Adventure arcs of Ranma 1/2, and really the only one of them that involves Ukyo. She's great in this one, so I wish she could have been used in one of those other later adventure arcs, too. There was just no way I couldn't pick a page from that story in this volume - the only problem was settling for a page. But in the end I went with this moment, where Ryoga unexpectedly coming to Ranma's defence just as Mousse, Kuno, the Principal and Gosunkugi all gang up on him and are ready to deal out the final blows - Mousse looking damn scary, too - and Ranma is too weak even to get up and run away.
I remember actually reading this in the comics shop when the floppy first came out and being really concerned for how Ranma would get out of this. It seemed no-one was on his side... And then Ryoga turning up! Whew! In-story, I think this marks another point in time where the two characters start to grow closer: it gets easier for Ranma to give Ryoga the benefit of the doubt more often without feeling like a chump after this moment.
(Though mind you, Ryoga may be honourable at times but tact, he has not. On the next page, he's so upset about Ranma's weakness he gets teary-eyed, leaving poor Ranma to feel like he has to cheer up Ryoga...)
