Crack fanfic art

I've finished some pics that probably won't make any sense unless you: 1) know of a certain older anime/manga series, and 2) have read tonko_ni's excellent AU fics set in a medieval fantasy world. Those fics feature Sanji as a half-vampire, Zoro as a half-demon vampire hunter, Usopp as part-kobold alchemist, and other neat things. I really like them (and I tend to avoid vampirey stuff).

The first one of these stories is Zoro/Sanji and NSFW, the second is gen and worksafe, and the third is Usopp/Sanji and NSFW.

Sanji the half-vampire has fangs, of course, while half-demon Zoro has tiny horns. Reading these fics gave me the idea for some silly crack art, posted here with tonko_ni's permission. I must emphasise, though, that these pics are not in any way canon art for the fic. ;p

:D I'm an AU AU artist! How fanon can you get?

I imagined some more dialogue between the AU AU siblings that I was too lazy to draw. Something like this:

Z: I'm kinda supposed to meet with someone right now...
L: (interested) Who? I could help you out with the map, y'know!
Z: Eh, just some pervy half-vampire. Not someone you'd like to meet.
L: Don't worry 'bout me! My heart belongs to Darling!
Z: (grimace of distaste) Erg. Let's not talk about him.

Sanji would probably have problems with the prospective groom, though (even as he might recognise himself somewhat in Ataru, much as he'd deny it ;)).

...I wonder who fails more at life? Sanji or Ataru?

I mean, Sanji would probably be green with envy that Ataru ended ended up with such a cute girl (and had several others after him!), but then again, there's the whole getting zapped in his sleep thing, not to mention the bad luck thing... XD

Oh, well, Sanji ended up with Zoro, so they're tied. XD

Canon Sanji doesn't fail at life at all in my book - he's a Strawhat, thus automatically a success at life. ;)

Vamp AU Sanji is leading a harder life, but does get laid at a regular basis (well, if he didn't, he'd die) and as you noted, bags Zoro.

Ataru on the other hand spectacularly fails at his self-proclaimed only objective in life (besides bugging people like Mendo), namely acquiring a harem. The only girl (I think? Ran's just faking it) with a genuine interest in him, once Shinobu basically gives up, is VERY jealous and possessive not too mention pretty darn manipulative as well. Not so much success for Ataru, then. Though, granted, he IS very good at bothering Mendo.

...But thinking it over, I still think both versions of Sanji would still be envious of Ataru due to Lum. And Ataru would, if they were to meet, probably find out how to best torture annoy Sanji fairly easy. And then Nami would fry his (Ataru's) ass. XD

Hm, not sure I agree with you on that one... true, being a strawhat implies winsomness in my book, but you have to admit, he doesn't seem to be getting very far in his attempts to woo anything female that comes his way... and the only Devil's Fruit he ever wanted was already taken.... and he ended up in Okama island.... :P

Yeah, he would. He would never be able to understand how comebody like Ataru ended up with somebody like Lum (the idiotic face! the libidinous eyes! you sure you want to waste your future on somebody like that?). And while AU Sanji got a pretty grteat deal with Zoro, I bet he would think that if he had to end up with a half demon, why couldn't it have been a female one?!

Oh well, at least Ataru has practice on the matters of electrocution by now. Wonder if Nami's lightning tempo would be worse than a jealous Lum zap? XD

True, there is much in what you say ...I must say I'm not fond of that last plot development at all. Way to imply that transvestites are generally would-be rapists, Oda.

But on the other foot, he is doing what he most wants to do in his life, going after his big dream together with the people he likes the most. He performs a very valuable and necessary purpose in the crew, and he is spectacularly good at it. Not to mention that he's superhumanly tough and strong and is frequently able to save and protect those that are closest to him.

And when there's a battle he can't win, he's also mature enough to let one of his comrades handle it, instead doing what that person or someone else can't do, like a real teamworker. Which is a pretty darn good philosophy, and in a way just as impressive - and certainly more realistic - than Zoro's "I'll never lose again thing!" , in my opinion.

Also, he's very funny, and I like him an awful lot (though not as much as Usopp!), so obviously he can't be a failure. ^_^

Yeah! I kinda think so too. Although we'd have to ask tonko_ni to be sure. Vampire Sanji does have a rather pronounced gentlemanly side, and possibly he wouldn't be quite as fine as presuming so much from just one lady, even a really strong demon one... even as the more selfish side of him would be totally all for it. ^_^
