More fan art!

Prompt: Ten year old Luffy in a bright red cape playing superhero (prompt from [livejournal.com profile] scribe_protra).
Characters: Luffy, Makino (my first time drawing her).
Rating: G.
Note: Sorry I only coloured the first pic, I got too lazy to do the rest. I have no idea if ten-year-old Luffy looks plausible or not.

Maybe I screwed up on the language here, though.
English question: do you really say "drape" for one half of a set of drapes, as Makino does here? I'm only familiar with seeing the word in plural, but my dictionary says you can. It's been wrong before, though. Anyway, that's what Luffy's cape is, in case it wasn't clear.

*mesmerised by your icon, eventually pulls away* Thanks! I'm glad you liked it!

...Hey, you wrote "Legacy", right? I keep forgetting I wanted to comment that it's among the best actual deathfics I've read in this fandom. I guess this isn't the place to say so, but better I do it here than just forgetting it again...

And if I'm wrong and it wasn't you then I apologise and will have to search the writer out! ^_^

Heh, it has that sort of hypnotic effect, that icon.

You don't have to search anyone else out, it was me. Thanks! I'd never written a deathfic before so it was really different. I'm glad it worked because I angsted a bit over posting, even anon. :)

Did you find it in any way depressing to write, as well? Or were you able to distance yourself from that while writing, kinda professionally? *is just curious*

I think I get where you're coming from. :) I did find it difficult and a bit depressing, but I think to an extent I was worried about not being able to connect to the subject matter enough for a few reasons. It felt like I had to dig deep to find anything that would let me write about the emotions honestly and try to do them justice, because I think that kind of story needs that. I was always afraid it would feel too dry.
