Happy Birthday, dethorats!

Hope you're having a great day today!
Made an attempt at a birthday pic, but I do mean 'attempt' - it's three people I can barely draw. The theme is a few seconds-in-command having drinks after hours, with a temporary Marine/pirate truce. I'm not sure, but they may be telling anecdotes about their bosses.




(Man, Ben is hard to draw. Especially as I'm not even sure how the current Ben wears his hair - panel evidence is inconclusive. Tashigi was surprisingly tough, too - she wound up looking a bit too schoolteacher-ish or something here, I'm afraid.)

Oooh! I've been thinking that I'd love to see Ben and Zoro meeting up and telling stories about their respective insane captains! ^__^ Throw Tashigi into the mix, and... well, I'm glad Zoro didn't run away screaming? XD

Yeah, the part with Zoro's staying put (and Tashigi not attacking him) is rather OOC. Unless Ben is one hell of a calming influence... ;)

Yeah, I can see how Ben would be a hard character to draw. I really like Tashigi, though!

XD This is one of my favorite conceits in One Piece, seconds sitting around and gossiping about how insane their captains are. And I concur, Ben's tough to draw but I think he turned out pretty darn good and I really like Tashigi too, and Zoro of course!

They could probably just sit around and tell stories like that for a long time. ;)

I always find it hard to draw people who don't have eyebrows, particularly if they've got to look badass. So I'm glad you think Ben looks okay! (I wanted to include his rifle, but,,, I got lazy.) And the others.
