Made an attempt at a birthday pic, but I do mean 'attempt' - it's three people I can barely draw. The theme is a few seconds-in-command having drinks after hours, with a temporary Marine/pirate truce. I'm not sure, but they may be telling anecdotes about their bosses.
(Man, Ben is hard to draw. Especially as I'm not even sure how the current Ben wears his hair - panel evidence is inconclusive. Tashigi was surprisingly tough, too - she wound up looking a bit too schoolteacher-ish or something here, I'm afraid.)

Date: 2009-09-16 07:47 am (UTC)XD This is one of my favorite conceits in One Piece, seconds sitting around and gossiping about how insane their captains are. And I concur, Ben's tough to draw but I think he turned out pretty darn good and I really like Tashigi too, and Zoro of course!

I always find it hard to draw people who don't have eyebrows, particularly if they've got to look badass. So I'm glad you think Ben looks okay! (I wanted to include his rifle, but,,, I got lazy.) And the others.
