rainsometimes: (katsura telefon)
I finished the fourth chapter of my GinTakaZura WIP! This one is set entirely after canon ends, so spoilers, speculations, conjecture and wishful thinking abound.

I had the privilege of receiving beta and encouragement from both Sparda and plipdragon for this chapter! I am very grateful to them, and to everyone else who's encouraged me.

Constructive criticism and other feedback is very welcome!

Fic title: There's No Together, There's No Apart, There's Only Impossible Longing
Chapter: 4/5 (plus prologue)
Chapter title: Follow The Brook Back Up To The Mountain
Word Count: 9372 [...what. did not realize it was that many words until now!]
Fandom: Gintama
Fic status: in progress
Pairing: Gintoki/Katsura/Takasugi: Gintoki/Katsura, Katsura/Takasugi, Takasugi/Gintoki
Rating: G for this chapter I think; PG-13 or PG-15 for the fic as a whole
Spoilers/Setting: see above: many spoilers for the manga ending in this chapter.
Flavour: Angsty, but hopefully with a relatively happy ending (that's the plan at least)
Summary: A story about Gintoki, Katsura and Takasugi told through various scenes and fragments.

Post six sentences from whatever you're working on!
This time it's all from the same WIP, and the same chapter to boot. But I took there's three different excerpts, two lines to each.

The sounds of the city around them didn't bring him back to sober discretion, they just helped the moment feel even more real. The two of them stumbled forward, aching and shivering, step by step.

Sakamoto’s voice is nearly drowned out by the noise in the bar. “I know what you’re doing, Zura,” he says, chin resting in hand, pouring more wine into Katsura’s glass.

They hardly ever talk about him during all that time, and when they do, Gintoki’s not the one to bring him up. There’s no use to it.

Six Sentence Sunday: Post six sentences from whatever you're working on, if you're game!

Katsura stared down at the grainy wood of the table, his face even hotter than before, his nose stinging from the alcohol even though he’d drunk so little of it. Suddenly he regretted this whole endeavour. What had he been thinking? What kind of way was this to proposition anyone? Gintoki had gone through enough these past few days – this was Katsura’s problem. It wasn’t fair to bring him into it.

[repost from Tumblr earlier today, edited. Yanked this meme from egelantier on Tumblr]
Rules: post the names of all the files in your WIP folder, regardless of how non-descriptive or ridiculous.

Comment about the title that most intrigues you or interests you and I’ll post a little snippet of it or tell you something about it!

This seems like a cool meme!

I am nevertheless going to be a tiny bit secretive and not mention a couple of long-runners. Also, most of the below are old fragmentary drafts for One Piece and a couple of other fandoms that never went anymore. (Although the one titled “nami usopp cold time” was supposed to be a gift to someone, I feel bad about not having worked that one out… and I haven’t given up on it yet.)

Tagging anyone who wants to play!
